This is our day in Delphi. I went out while Jeff was still sleeping to purchase breakfast at a little bakery which we ate on our balcony looking out to the sea. It was so picturesque. After we had packed up we proceeded to the ruins of Delphi which were amazing. A lot of the walls and foundations and some of the buildings (parts of the buildings) are still standing. We basically walked around an ancient city for a couple of hours. We saw the oracle of Apollo and an old racing stadium. It's fascinating how much of it has lasted for so long. There was also a museum with some of the treasures that were kept in Delphi on display.
After we had lunch we drove back to Athens. Taking a different route than the previous night which felt like being lost again but didn't actually involve being lost. At any rate we made it to the airport and returned the car then boarded our flight back to London. We were both very glad to be back. Although as previously mentioned Jeff was extremely disappointed at having missed the riots.
